Proactive Testing Before Social Services
Many Social Services Departments are beginning to require drug and alcohol testing before you may qualify for public assistance or housing assistance. If you are facing financial and social challenges and need a hand up in the form of social welfare, disability or housing benefits, you are also accountable for remaining drug free. Social service agencies may require you to undergo drug or alcohol testing in order to qualify for benefits or to maintain your benefits.
You may decide to pursue testing on your own, either to proactively show your qualification, or to resolve any worries you may have as to whether your past drug use is still detectable. In that case you might voluntarily arrange for your own test at your own expense in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises if the social services agency you are working with requires you to test on short notice.
ARCpoint Labs of Dayton Central follow protocols mandated by the Department of Transportation for all of our drug testing services. Our technology allows us to provide “negative” or “non-negative” results often within minutes (for urine testing – dependent upon state) and we can perform testing either at our facility or on-site. Our trained collectors can also collect for hair, nail and sweat patch drug testing if more extensive evaluations are needed.
